Telehealth Therapy
I offer telehealth sessions for clients in Tennessee and in participating PSYPACT states. The work is the same as in-person. The session length, the approach, and the continuity don't change. The only difference is that it happens over a secure video connection instead of in the office.
What You Need for Telehealth
You need a private space, a reliable internet connection, and enough privacy that you can speak freely. The technology matters, but the privacy of the setting matters more.
Privacy and Security
Telehealth sessions are conducted through TherapyAppointment, a secure platform used for clinical work. Sessions aren't recorded. A link is sent before each session; you don't need to create an account or download anything ahead of time.
Who Telehealth Works Well For
Telehealth works well for people who live outside the Johnson City area, have schedules that make in-person sessions difficult, or prefer working from their own space. Many people find the accessibility makes it easier to stay consistent, which matters for continuity.
It isn't the right fit for everyone. Some people find being in the room matters to how they engage with the work. That's worth considering when deciding which format makes sense.
PSYPACT
Through PSYPACT, I may be able to provide telehealth services when you are physically located in a participating state, depending on current authorization requirements and clinical fit. If you're outside Tennessee and want to confirm whether your state is included, see the full list of participating states or we can check during the consultation.
The Next Step
If telehealth makes sense for your situation, the next step is a consultation. It's a 15-minute conversation with no commitment. From there, we can decide whether it makes sense to go further.
